Avery’s name is an homage to American modern painter Milton Avery whose bold color explorations and lyrical representations of nature were an inspiration to Chef Rodney Wages.

The restaurant’s foundation is in Chef Rodney's belief that fine dining should be lively rather than hushed, and should passionately celebrate the bounty of nature with what is on the plate and in the glass. Avery’s essence is in elegant simplicity which belies the serious technique used to create layers of flavor.
While we love wine at Avery, we are unique in that we focus our beverage program on rare sake, boutique Champagne, and both hand-made non-alcoholic cocktails and a cocktail program drawing on the exceptional spirits of Scotland and Japan. Our cellar offers whatever you might want—but our pairings are designed to both complement the food and lead you on a journey of discovery of wines, sakes, and fermentation techniques not often seen in fine dining.
